XCENA, a fabless company providing memory-centric computing solutions for AI infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Steve Fingerhut as Chief Business Officer. Fingerhut will lead XCENA’s global business, including sales, business development, product management, strategic partnerships, marketing and go-to-market strategy, as the company moves its MX1 CXL-based computing platform toward production deployment with hyperscalers, cloud service providers and enterprise AI infrastructure customers.

“XCENA has reached an important inflection point. We have demonstrated the technology and are now focused on bringing MX1 into production environments and building the business around it,” said Jin Kim, CEO of XCENA. “Steve brings exactly the experience we need at this stage. Throughout his career, he has built and scaled data center businesses, worked with some of the world’s largest technology companies, and turned emerging technologies into products adopted by hyperscalers and enterprises. His experience across data center processing, acceleration and memory will be invaluable as we expand XCENA globally.”
Most recently, Fingerhut led Qualcomm’s engagement with Meta across data center technologies, including AI, compute and networking, spanning executive relationships, roadmap alignment and ecosystem partnerships. He drove a landmark multi-generation agreement for Qualcomm data center CPUs to power Meta’s next-generation server fleet.
Fingerhut brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling data center compute and infrastructure businesses, with roles that have driven billions of dollars in annual revenue. He began his semiconductor career at Intel’s Data Center Group in strategy, product management and sales, including leading Intel’s sales team for a leading data center OEM. As President and Chief Business Officer at Pliops, he built the business organization, refocused the company on machine learning workload acceleration, and led sales, marketing and business development, winning customers including a top-five hyperscaler and leading SaaS and CDN providers. At Marvell, as Senior Vice President of the Storage Business Unit, he led product line management and business development, repositioned the portfolio for machine learning training and inference, and secured design wins with hyperscalers and OEMs. He also brings deep expertise in memory and storage, having served as Corporate Vice President at Micron, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Kioxia, and Vice President at SanDisk.
“For most of my career, I have focused on the fundamental challenge of processing data efficiently at scale,” said Fingerhut. “I’ve seen that challenge move from server processors to data acceleration and now to AI infrastructure, where memory capacity and data movement, not compute alone, increasingly limit performance. XCENA addresses this at the architecture level by bringing compute to where the data lives, with silicon and software designed to process and move data more efficiently across AI systems. I’m excited to bring MX1 to customers and build XCENA into a global leader in next-generation AI infrastructure.”
XCENA is exhibiting at the OCP Global Summit, taking place October 12-15 in booth A2 at the San Jose Convention Center. Fingerhut will join XCENA’s team at the event as the company engages with customers, partners and the broader infrastructure ecosystem.
